Dr. Tom Mayuga was born in the Philippines and later moved to the United States, where he pursued his academic and professional training. He earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating in 2015. He then attended medical school at PCOM–Georgia in Suwanee, where he developed a strong foundation in patient-centered care.
Dr. Mayuga chose family medicine because it allows him to care for patients across all stages of life while building long-term relationships and addressing a wide range of health needs. He completed his Family Medicine residency in 2023, training at WellStar Atlanta Medical Center and WellStar Douglas Medical Center. Following residency, he opened his own medical practice, where he focused on providing accessible, comprehensive, and continuity-driven care. He later joined Tyrone Family Medicine to better serve his community and continue delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative setting.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mayuga enjoys traveling and exploring new places. He is married to Trinh, a pharmacist, and together they have a cat and a dog—Sally and Theo—who are inseparable and keep life entertaining
